10-19-05

Okay, I've taken this semi-daily blog thing to the extent, I do believe. Crud, haven't done one so far in October.

That's a little too semi, I guess.

Daisy had her puppies on 10-3-05. Here's a link to the pictures if you'd like to see them. Six of those little squirts were pooted out. Naturally, Sheri and the kids have grown attached to the little fellows, which I told them not to do. If it was up to the wife and kids, we'd have eight little weenie dogs running around in our backyard.

Big Daddy calls ney on that, though. We are at our quota of dogs. Currently, we have four (not counting puppies). If we add the puppies, that would be 10. They are in favor of keeping all these dogs, but they don't bother feeding and watering them. I can just imagine trying to mow in the backyard.

True, weenie dogs don't put out the fertilizer like bigger dogs, but you get 10 of them suckers dropping a load back there, let's just say the footing would have to be careful.

The puppies opened their eyes on Monday, exactly two weeks after they were born. At first, Daisy was such a good mother and would seldom leave their side. Now, she's kind of like a kid after they tire of a toy. Daisy will still feed them, but with the same enthusiasm I carry about going to work.

This was fun. Think I'll do it again, in less than half a month, hopefully.
